Victory for Wythenshawe Sodexo staff in Agenda for Change Pay Deal Campaign

UNISON members at Wythenshawe working for Sodexo have won their dispute calling for the 2018 NHS pay deal to be implemented. This fantastic achievement was reached through a campaign where members showed unity and perseverance to be paid fairly for the vital work they do at MFT. 

UNISON entered into a dispute with Sodexo prior to Christmas, and was due to ballot members for industrial action as an absolute last resort to call for all Sodexo staff to be paid the proper rate, wherever in the Trust they work. Members applied on-going pressure and remaining resilient allowed strike action to be avoided and resolved the dispute. 

Branch Secretary Wendy Guest said: “Our UNISON branch will speak up for members wherever they suffer injustice and low pay, within MFT or elsewhere. This is a fantastic result and we are grateful to Sodexo for their pro-active approach to resolving the dispute.”
