On Wednesday 10th June there will be a UNISON rally at Parliament in London to demand Fair Visas.
This is a turning point for the government. Decisions are being made right now about the future of the party. UNISON must be loud and visible at this critical moment to ensure Fair Visas are on the agenda. On Wednesday 10th June migrant workers and supporters from around the UK will go to Westminster, demanding:
1. 5 year qualifying period for ILR for health and social care workers.
2. An end to exploitation by replacing employer sponsored visas with a sector-wide scheme in social care.
3. A Fair Pay Agreement establishing sectoral bargaining to improve wages and conditions.
If you are a UNISON member and migrant care worker, UNISON will pay for your travel to London to help you attend. Fill out this EXPRESSION OF INTEREST form and then wait for a call from an organiser. Once you’ve discussed logistics on the phone you will be issued a ticket.
