NHS Partial Retirement and Redundancy

Partial retirement provides a way for someone to receive pension benefits while continuing in employment.
 
However, when faced with redundancies, employers are refusing to consider reckonable service prior to partial retirement in the calculation of redundancy payments.

This issue is complicated and it can be challenging to provide advice to affected members.
